The ‘dance’ is a reoccurring
theme in my narrative paintings. Figures
interact in a café, on a theatre stage, high
wire in a circus arena, under turquoise water,
in a swamp or an amusement park. These
expressions of mythical characters and
environments explore the dynamics between
beauty, humor, mystery and potential uneasiness
in a stopped action moment; focusing on the
energy and spaces created from the movement
between the figures in each unfathomable
scenario.
